Dowfax 2A1: Dodecyl diphenyl ether disulfonate, a high-performance anionic surfactant. This product has the characteristics of strong adsorption capacity, large dispersion force and strong connection force. It not only exhibits excellent stability in strong acids, strong bases and salt solutions, but also under high shear and other conditions.

Performance and use:

1. Emulsion polymerization

Styrene butadiene rubber emulsion, ABS resin, acrylic resin, polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride, butyl benzoate. Using DOWFAX 2A1 as an emulsifier can make the latex have the advantages of small particles, uniform distribution, stable storage, and less gel, and the amount of DOWFAX 2A1 can be used to control the particle size and surface activity of the emulsion.

2. Textile

DOWFAX 2A1 can be used as a homogenizer in the acid dyeing of nylon. It can be used as a dyeing material carrier to control the transfer of acid dyeing and Barre Condition to make the dye evenly distributed. As a result, the color difference is reduced, the dye consumption is reduced, and the economic benefit is improved. See Table 5 for the ratio

3. Cleaner

DOWFAX 2A1 is also suitable for cleaning agents, used as a wetting agent, coupling agent and stabilizer. It has a synergistic effect with other nonionic and anionic surfactants, dissolving and stabilizing the phenol and chlorophenol fungicides in the detergent formulation Tables 6 to 9 list some of the more typical ratios.

4. Petroleum Industry

A variety of DOWFAX salts are used as co-interfaces in the third stage of petroleum mining. In the emulsification of natural oleic acid, they are used as emulsifiers to isolate acid sludge.

5. Phenolic resin

This kind of resin is sensitive to temperature and has a short storage life. Unless it is refrigerated or frozen, if it is taken from a small solution and used, it will have a good water dilution power in the application of the resin. Traditional manufacturing uses alkaline aqueous solution or Alcohol solutions make the resin solvent. But for high molecular weight resins, more alcohol or pH is required to maintain the stability of the resin in solution.
