Antistatic agent SN:

Sodium salt of octadecyl dimethyl hydroxyethyl quaternary acid. Light yellow to brownish red viscous oil or paste. Flash point (closed cup) 12.2℃. It is easily soluble in water, acetone, ethanol, chloroform, toluene and other organic solvents, and soluble in dichloroethane, styrene, etc. at 50°C. Stable to 5% acid and alkali. Decomposes above 180°C.

Applications:

1. It is suitable for spinning static elimination of synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon, and chlorine, and has excellent antistatic effects. The antistatic agent SN can be used alone, or it can be mixed with other oils and emulsifiers that do not contain anionic surfactants to form an aqueous solution, so that the fiber tow can pass through the above emulsion to eliminate static electricity. The dosage is generally 0.2- of the fiber weight. 0.5%.

2. It can be used as a leveling agent for polyacrylonitrile.

3. Eliminate static electricity of plastic products in the plastic industry, and can be used as a static eliminator for polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene film and plastic products. Dissolve the antistatic agent SN in an appropriate solvent, mix it with a small amount of plastic powder, dry, then add this material to all the plastic powder, and process it according to routine. Generally, the recommended dosage is 0.5-2% of the weight of the plastic.

4. Used as a static eliminator for spinning top rollers made of nitrile rubber.

5. Real silk static elimination agent.

6. Alkali reduction accelerator for polyester imitation silk fabrics.

7. Asphalt emulsifier.
